The Facebook Cover Photo Controversy
August 6th, 2012 by Lisa Tranum
A quick scroll through a Facebook newsfeed usually reveals a few recurring trends. Sometimes, it’s the weather (It’s raining in Texas! This is a big deal!) Other times, it’s “major” celebrity news (Snookie is pregnant? Brace yourselves, everyone.) But few things are more overwhelming—and controversial—than a new Facebook design.
The Facebook “Timeline” redesign was released late last year, and, as usual, the Facebook community immediately revolted against the change. However, now that we’ve all had some time to get used to it, we’re finally ready to admit that maybe Mark Zuckerberg really does know best.
Our favorite aspect of the Facebook timeline? The addition of a cover photo option. We at BluMoxy are very supportive of anything that helps people stand out, and a unique cover photo is an excellent way to bring creativity to your Facebook profile (and your digital scrapbooks!)
We think cover photos rock, but if you still need some convincing, check out these awesome examples:

(We have to confess – this cover photo featuring a BluMoxy memory book is definitely our favorite J)
If you’re still unconvinced, there’s always this option:

Look closely. This last one is really a cover photo. There are some clever folks out there!
